Leader Plus
The funding we received from the Leader Plus programme and additional match- funding from Dunbar, Dunpender and East Lammermuir community councils and the former Dunbar Grammar School Board has been put to good use. It has allowed us to subsidise and add additional stops for school coaches to ease the journey for youngsters travelling from our more rural communities. I met with representatives from the Leader Plus organisation to explain how the funding had helped. One of the impacts, agreed by all, is that it has helped us focus on the needs of those students staying in our more outlying areas. Unfortunately, the funding has now come to an end and we will have to look carefully at how we can carry on with the improvements.
